Project Description

Peter T. Mitches & Associates Limited was retained because the existing west indoor ice rink including the rink slab, dasher boards, and refrigeration equipment had reached its end-of-life cycle. Extensive barrier free upgrades (including new changerooms) were needed to satisfy AODA requirements for this older building.

The scope of work included replacing the refrigeration equipment for both rink slabs and completed three separate additions to the building.

Various miscellaneous electrical and mechanical state-of-good repair items were completed including new exhaust fans; a new mechanical heat recovery unit; and a new air make-up unit.
